The chassis system on a corvette has changed much from the steel that was originally used to the new aluminum systems that are as strong but light weight reducing the overall Corvettes gross weight. Seller who have stripped an old Corvette or a newer one that may have had minimal damage due to an accident will advertise them on eBay.
Salvage yards like the one in St Louis MO carries a number of them also.
