Corvette Weatherstripping
Installing weather stripping on your Corvette is one of the most important items of replacement. Old weather stripping becomes distorted, cracked and shrinks allowing water to enter. This is especially true and noticeable if you have one of the models with the T tops above your head.
Worn compressed weather stripping will allow wind noise, water leaks and looks unsightly. Preservation can be accomplished with a general cleaning of soap and water then a light coat of Son-Of-Gun or Amour all to prevent sticking and better sealing. Installing weather stripping may involve small inserted plastic clips that push into a small hole or a quality weather stripping glue in yellow or black that can be purchased at most automotive stores. I prefer black to match the rubber being installed.
