Spring is fast approaching and many Corvette enthusiasts are shining up their stored Corvette for spring showings.
The auction companies are also preparing for their classic car auctions and sales. One of the fast up coming auction companies besides Barrett-Jackson is the Dana Mecum's original Corvette show scheduled for May and June 2009.
Here you will see some of the best of the Corvette breed from the 50s, 60s, 70s, along with the other hot Rods and Classic Cars that will be offered.
There are now two scheduled showings for the Spring on May 13,14,15,16,17 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis Indiana, 46205 where there will be over 1,250 cars showing.
Also in June 26th and 27th at the Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 Main Street, St Charles, Illinois 60174
Mecum can be reached at (815)-568-8888
The Bloomington show will feature the personal car known as, "The Harley Earl Corvette." A 1963 Chevrolet Corvette and personal car of the father of the Corvette, GM Designer Harley Earl.
Just make sure you have a pocket full of cash as these shiny glittering beauties will be going for top dollar and will only continue to increase in value over the next several years.
A recent article by Hot Rod Magazine stated that Classic Cars were increasing at approximately 5 percent a year and in some cases out growing the housing industry increases. As one man said when he was asked why he drove such a nice Classic car and lived in a run down old house, He stated, "Man. You can't drive no house."
That is why a lot more Classic Car insurance companies are now including them in their insurance policies. Check the links above for more details and additional shows and events.
There a number of companies that now offer Classic Car Insurance which simply works on an agreed value. If a person has a classic Car the insurer knows that their chances of a claim would not be for an accident as much as thief so they would be concerned with the storage. Even Geico car insurance, Hartford auto insurance and of course, Hagerty Classic car Insurance are major carriers.
